The Feldenkrais Method

Originally researched and founded by Mosche Feldenkrais. This is an incredible system of body awareness that trancends even traditional yoga asanas. Through simple movements one is able so simply to create new awareness of the body.

I am on my 18th day of 45 minute lessons daily...this stuff is incredible!

It primarily loosens the bones up and re-awakens deep muscle, but, the most incredible thing is this.

It proves that what you imagine only in the mind, you can then go ahead and do with hardly any practice.

It is so intelligent, the teacher works have the body for a particular lesson to learn it, then you imagine the other half doing it and guess what - you can, the body just goes ahead and does the extended perfected movement on the other side almost from the first rep....

Oh the power of the mind when used to construct...little wonder it can destruct so effortlesly too...

Well Frank, you did it again you are a mind of info....it doesn't surprise me on bit that B&G will have looked at this....

I was given a CD by Warren months ago, tried a little, but left it! Icame back to this and have just done my 11th day lesson of 45 mins. It is miraculous stuff. It goes beyond any yoga teacher trainung I have ever done. Interestingly, Fabrizio announced he had just got into this too at about the same time....sync...:)

I am doing Frank Wildmans intelligent Body series of 2 CD's....it is like a meditation, I hit the zone and 45 mibs seems like 5...the changes are profound...I would reccommend this to anyone. In just 11 lessons I am standing taller, and feel more supple even after my years of yoga, this goes beyond even that....ok will stop now, but am so impressed I could talk all night about it....

Feldenkreis is the one who inspired Bandler and Grinder, on the importance of flexibility. Bandler teaches ways of standing, that minimizes unnecessary strain on the body, as a way to change the state inside the body.

The Feldenkrais Method is an educational system centered on movement, aiming to expand and refine the use of the self through awareness.[1] It is intended for those who wish to improve their movement repertoire (dancers, musicians, artists), as well as those wishing to reduce pain or limitations in movement, and many who want to improve their general well-being and personal development. Because it uses movement as the primary vehicle for gaining awareness, it is directly applicable to disorders that arise from restricted or habitually poor movement. But as a process for gaining awareness, the system claims to expand a person's choices and responses to many aspects of life: emotions, relationships, and intellectual tasks; and it applies at any level, from severe disorder to highly professional performance. The Feldenkrais Method holds that there is no separation between mind & body, and thus learning to move better can improve one's overall well-being on many levels
